For Esther

Early this morning, at only 16, Esther Earl lost her battle with cancer. Although I've never met her or even interacted with her online, all I could think about today was Esther.

I think it's rather fitting that she was a Gryffindor, because she was the bravest person ever. She wasn't one to mope around and feel sorry for herself.  She lived her life by the nerdfighter code "Don't forget to be Awesome" and she never did.

With Esther's help and influence the Harry Potter Alliance won the Chase Community Challenge back in July.

I may not know her personally, but I wish her well on her next great adventure.
