So today I was on deviant art to get my weekly HP fanart fix. It's already been a month since I've seen Deathly Hallows part 2 but little by little I'm starting to feel the effects of that. I'll be honest and tell you that I wasn't an avid reader from the very beginning. I didn't start reading the books until right before Goblet of Fire came out in theaters. I've never read Prizoner of Azkaban (i'll get to that), even though all my favorite characters were introduced in that book.

Well, I was on deviant art and came across Viria13's James and Lily gallery and it just brought me to tears. Though they were only briefly mentioned throughout the series here and there, their love was a huge part of the entire series. Both their love for each other and their love son. Though they were both absent from the very beginning, they just had a huge impact on everything. From the obvious of being Harry's parents, to the more complex story line of Snape's love for Lily that ultimately made him the hero (he totally was). Then how their loss affected their friends. Remus, Sirius and Peter.

Sirius had been accused of giving away their location to the dark lord. Peter was really the traitor, but he was a coward and ran from his problems, making people believe that Sirius had killed him. That left Poor Remus to be alone. All 4 of his best friends were gone from his life and was left to believe that Sirius had been the reason. That's some sad shiz.

I'd continue this (whatever it is) but I'm too tired and sad to write anything else.

I won't apologize for the long absence as this is becoming redundant.

Hello, reader. You may remember me as the author of this here blog. It would appear that my last post was in March (I think. I'm not gonna check.) I am currently listening to Stormy Weather by Etta James. This is not why I am writing this post. I just thought that it was worth noting. Right now I am sitting in the living room of my new home. Which is located in Edgewater (Mayo), Maryland.

You may be asking yourself 'When on earth did this happen?' or 'Sophie, didn't you just move back from the outer dc area back, in October of last year, after only living there for 4 months?'. Well, this happened on the 19th of last month. (It is also worth noting that the song just changed to New Soul by Yael Naim.) I only found out I was moving back to the east a measly week and one day before this move took place. (Now, it's Smile by Lily Allen) And yes, I did just move back to California in October.

So, Why the move? Well, I don't want to go into details.. But let's just say I'm in trouble. Not with the law. And yes my grades are good. I won't say more. (I Was Made For You by She&Him)

Now I find myself 20-some miles outside of DC on the opposite side of where I was living prior. It's alright. We have access to the Cheaspeake Bay, or what I believe to be the Cheaspeake bay,  from the backyard. And It all looks very Postcard-y. The one downside is the nearest Bus Stop is five miles down the road. This is a problem as I don't drive. (Blue Ridge Mountains By Fleet Foxes) Because of this, tomorrow morning my mother is taking me to MVA (DMV) to get my learner's permit. Yes, I am 20 and barely getting my learner's permit. If you went to camp with me your probably thinking 'I thought you said your drive.' The truth is I did. But I was lying.

(Train Leaving Gray By Mason Jennings (IDK it's on my She& Him Pandora station))

I am a liar. A big fat liar. I've always been and am just starting to admit. Just this pass spring I revealed this to my very best friend. Of course I was kind of drunk at the time, but I never said my shit don't stink. It's all truth spilling from these lips (fingers in the blogspehere) (ya, I just said that.)  (Maybe I'm Amazed By Paul Mccartney..I always thought it was baby, I'm amazed). Okay, maybe I'll tell a little white lie here and there, but I promise not to lie about the big things. I swear.

(Oh Boy covered by She&Him)

The next topic I'd like to cover is my desire to create a Collaboration channel on Youtube. Alongside 3 of my very good friends Natalie, Niki and Desi. (Awww yeahh.. The Joker by Steve Miller Band) I'd like to find one last person for this project so we have one person doing a video for every weekday. This is very much inspired by fiveawesomegirls and the vlogbrothers. It will also be a way to keep in touch with my friends back home. I don't necessarily know where I want to go with this. I just think it's a cool concept and if no one watches it wont matter to me. I just know these ladies will see it and that's all that matters. <---See no fame seeking here.

I'd like this project to be off the ground by this Monday but it might be pushed back another week, who knows? I have yet to come up with a name for it. If you have any ideas, a comment would be much appreciated.

(Heart it Races by Dr. Dog, not to be confused with Dr. Dre and Snoop)

Well, it is very late here and I should probably sleep if I want to pass that exam. This may very well be the longest blog post I've ever written. I think the Pandora, excessive amounts of Pepsi and this music video had a lot to do with it. Goodnight.

P.S. My hair looks completely different from that little cartoon of me. Just thought I'd put it in there.

I got a little Green in me

This week I realized that it was March. I knew it was March, but I barely realized that it was MARCH, meaning THE SHAMROCK SHAKE is back! When It finally hit me, I was at a McDonalds a second later. This year they've decided to top those babies off with whipped cream and a cherry. Though it was fine without all that fancy stuff, I must say that I have no complaints. Well, this happened on Sunday, since then I think I've had about 5 actual shamrock shakes and 3 mock shamrock shakes from Starbucks. Still trying to perfect the latter, this way I can get my shamrock shake on all year round.

Also this week the Man of La Mancha opened at my school. Natalie and I worked makeup crew for the last dress Rehearsal and plan to work it again next Sunday. Everyone was stressing about it but honestly I don't know why, we just kinda sat around after doing makeup. Eh. But still, it was pretty cool.

So I've decide that I like the circus, not today's craptacular circus, with it's malnourished animals, but that old dreamy circus from way back when. I don't know why but I'm feeling very circus-y. Even if they do have..*gulp*..clowns.
It's just a thing.

For the 2 months I failed to blog.

Hi there. Yup, I did it again. But I'm owning up to it. So i fell off the wagon right away, but really people who has the time? I've got a bigillion other things to do, like school, and riding the bus for hours at a time. And watching Being Human on Syfy. Seriously, busy.

Now I have the gruesome task of having to fill you in on the past two months. Well, not so gruesome since I don't necessarily need to keep blogging (I do have a choice when it comes to these matters you know). I left off with telling you I was packing. Well, I was packing to move (yet again), but this time to my dad's house in Fountain Valley. I've been here since 2 days after my last post...so um about 8 weeks. And it's working out pretty well.

I also started school, which by the way is awesome. You have no idea how much I missed school, it's ridiculous. I never recommend taking a semester off, ever. I mean i you need a break or something, just plan your mental breakdowns around a long weekend and you should be fine.
But anyways, I'm taking Math, Pilates and Stage Makeup. Math is alright, same old same old, that whole deal. Pilates, OMG I feel like I'm doing nothing but laying down and just moving a little in that class, but I swear somehow it kicks my ass and I feel super sore the next day. Now, Stage Makeup, that is for another blog another day. Let's just say I love it.

I think that's all that really happened.

P.S. Almost forgot to mention that I got a haircut. It's short.
P.S.S. And I'm stalking a CSZ High School Ref now, here's his website. He's the one with the glasses.

For the Week of 1/9-1/15

This week started off where it ended last week. With me crocheting a red scarf. If I was watching tv, I was crocheting this scarf. If I was sitting down for a chat, I was crocheting this scarf. If I was waiting for Natalie to pick me up, I was crocheting this scarf. If we were watching Netflix, yes, I was crocheting this scarf. It was to the point where I was able to crochet this thing without looking at it. My hands new the pattern and the motions so they kept on working. I should have completed this project by today but towards the end of the week my mind kinda wandered and decided to take a break.

Also, I went to my favorite Coffee Shop, Viento y Agua, 3 times this week. Once on Monday, Once on Tuesday, and again on Thursday. Excessive? Yes. No regrets here. That's 3 Vanilla lavender shakes! And they are oh so delicious, I just couldn't resist. The First time I went, I was joined by Natalie (as always). We had originally planned to go with my friend Niki but we rescheduled that and just the two of us went. Then on Tuesday we brought our friend Lina along with us because she had never been. She quite enjoyed it.

Thursday finally came around. I was very much looking forward to Thursday. All because I was finally getting around to hanging out with my friend Niki. Everyone knows Natalie is my BFF, I mean it's a fact. But Niki is a close second, whether she knows it or not. Like seriously If I ever get married (which is unlikely, I'll elaborate more later), she's going to be one of my bridesmaids. I hadn't seen her since the week before I left for D.C. back in May. Natalie and I took her to Viento Y Agua. She enjoyed it as well. Then we headed over to Keystone Lanes and met up with Lina. Natalie and I set them up on a playdate so they could be friends. I then proceeded to kick everyone's ass at Bowling. I'm very proud of that.

Yesterday, I spent my day packing. I didn't have much to pack so mostly I got distracted and watched youtube videos. Then I procrastinated until the last minute. Like I do.

And now I'm all moved into my new room. Just need a bed.

Another Year Gone By

And a new layout too! So it's the 3rd! And the picture below from New Years is unfortunate.

So you may be wondering what exactly I'm going to do with my blog, now that my year of blogging (Which by the way was kind of a fail after september...) is over. Well I sat down and thought things over. Sitting down to write a blog everyday is super hard and ended up biting me in the ass. So my plan is to keep blogging but my goal is to have a minimum of one blog a week. I think that'll work out better..

Also as far as vlogging goes...I'm making the same commitment! I'm excited for that one, actually. I just got a new video camera and I'm getting a tripod tomorrow so...maybe I'll post a video up tomorrow. Who knows?

But Happy New Year and I'll be seeing you on the interwebs.

Sophie

P.S. Tell me what your New Year's resolution is this year below in the comments!
